O Shambling Hordes

Highlights

This is an allies rush deck using Shambling Hordes. The idea is to use Liquidation to put some Shambling Hordes in the ash heap, the recruit other ones, paying for it with the discarded ones. They then proceed to taking down opponents vampires while the vampires bleed.

Most Master cards are used to get some blood back on the vampires or cheapen the cost of Shambling Hordes.

As the deck has a solid rush potential, Dragonbound and Fame can help deliver more pool damage.

Sudario Refraction is used to get the cards discarded by Liquidation back into hand, providing a nice recursion for this deck.

Tips & Tricks

Call of the Hungry Dead and Spectral Divination help bring out the Shambling Hordes without being blocked.

Trap can be used to take down big capacity vampires or allies with a defending ability like Carlton Van Wyk.

The Unmasking and FBI Special Affairs Division improve the allies quite a bit.

Variants

Many variants have a little bit more combat cards and do not bother with The Parthenon, like Andrzej Jagla's deck from 2013.

The Swedish variant uses Tupdog for additional minions in the ash heap, Life in the City to add blood to the vampires, and Trochomancy to help disrupt the recursion of decks using Ashur Tablets. Otto Kukkasniemi's deck from the 2011 Swedish NC is a good example.

Errata

Pentex™ Subversion has been modified by an errata in September 2019. It does not prevent a vampire to act anymore, so it is less powerful and should probably not be included in the deck anymore.

Anthelios, The Red Star has been banned in 2016. Its removal may have a bit of impact on the Master module.
